UNEB: Release of 2024 PLE Results

The Ministry of Education and Sports officially released the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results for the year 2024 on 23rd January 2025, announced by the First Lady and Minister of Education, Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni.

According to UNEB reports, there was a 6.4% increase in the number of candidates who sat for the exams compared to 2023. Girls outperformed boys in English, while boys excelled over girls in other subjects, showcasing balanced yet competitive results.

The release of these results was met with celebrations and jubilation across Uganda as P.7 candidates celebrated their achievements. However, amidst the joyful celebrations, we observed a joyful disarray as many parents and students expressed concerns about choosing the right secondary schools to embark on the next phase of their education journey.
